THE BRUSH PAD

the history

The Brush Pad was born in the period of the 40s in America to make up for the lack of the battery. It is a percussion that is applied to the harmonic plane of the instrument and is played with the use of the brush while the strings of the double bass are plucked. After several trips to the USA I proposed the idea of building one together with Emiliano Barbieri, luthier and guitar builder from Bologna.

We have been working on the project for more than a year, achieving an excellent result: a light brush pad, suitable for any temperature and any double bass. This tool has been designed to be useful for all those musicians who want to open up the possibilities of playing double bass and drums at the same time. It can be played with or without amplification. Only best premium quality materials were selected and used to create these brush pads. Every piece of the brush pad is crafted by hand.
